Journal of Gagauz Studies is thematically focused on publishing research on Gagauz studies.

The purpose of the journal is to publish scientific research on the history, religion, culture, folklore, traditions, economics and language of the Gagauz people living in the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Republic of Bulgaria, Russian Federation, Republic of Turkey and other countries. In addition, issues of the history, development and current position of Gagauzia as the historical area of ​​traditional residence of the Gagauz people are covered.

The journal is aimed at publishing exclusively scientific research containing objective, strictly scientific research in the field of Gagauz studies, having a formalized scientific apparatus and using methodological approaches known in the humanities. Research results must be verifiable.

The objectives of the journal are to interpret, systematize and increase scientific knowledge in the field of Gagauz studies.

The preferred language for scientific research is English.

In addition, scientific research in other languages is possible — Russian, Ukrainian, Moldavian, Bulgarian, Turkish, Gagauz.
